Essential Mix BBC Radio 1 - 12 February

On Saturday February 12th, Cosmic Gate will be stepping up to the Radio 1 plate and laying down 120 minutes of audio that planet dance will never forget. With their widescreen music fusion, the German act have helped usher in a new era of trance. Now, combined with their intuitive, mixing style, they'll be bringing it to the most famous mix show of them all...

Nic said: we are really very happy indeed that Radio 1 has asked us to do this. Its reputation and listenership stretches around the world and it's naturally something we've always wanted to play a part in.

Bossi adds: the Essential Mix is like electronic dance music's Hall of Fame and who can say no to that!? We're looking forward to bringing something really special to the night, for fans old and new.

Joining the ranks of recent Essential Mix-ers like Nero, the Swedish House Mafia, Chris Lake and Joris Voorn, Bossi & Nic Chagall will be broadcasting their inimitable, panoramic musical vision to the masses. In store will be new music from Tiësto, Above & Beyond, Wippenberg, Dada Life and Inpetto, killer 'Back 2 The Future' remix trax, a revamp of 'Monday Bar' - Nic's debut solo track and their hot-out-the-studio 'Essential Rework' of Ferry Corsten's classic 'Punk'. And that's just for starters. It's going to be mix/remix/fresh-edit/mash-up/re-mash/redux wall-of-sound! And one that'll provide a world-beating, cannot-be-missed, tune-in!
